Since I have taken some time off work to get to know Charlie properly, I am hoping to get some major DIY jobs done around the house. I plan to lay the oak flooring planks in some rooms, build a few shelves and maybe my wardrobe. Yeah right. But hey, what a fantastic excuse to […]

Surprisingly, Charlie Foster decided to come out much earlier than expected. He was born yesterday, weighing 3.4kg. He has a full head of hair, just like his brother did and generally seems quite excited to be ‘out and about’. Beth is doing fine, enjoying some time off from Felix, who misses her madly. I […]

If you have seen the earlier plans, then you will notive that the new extension is much more contemporary in style than we had originally planned. This is really a result of thinking […]

It has almost been three weeks since we moved into our new house. I had cleverly retreated to California for the actual move and Beth had to deal with it all by herself. To fully appreciate the daunting task she faced, let me remind you that the new house had been lived in by an […]

I find it impossible to believe that my three months of living a life of leisure have already come to an end. It feels like only a few weeks have passed and like I don’t really have much to show for it. I didn’t learn Ruby or French, I am not half way through my […]
